The Golden Ball 10m Lancaster is flat and fast and we and we look forward to seeing you cross the line!
A flat and fast course is suitable for all abilities and excellent training if you have a marathon planned!
The race starts & finishes close to the 3-1-5 Lancaster Health Club and using the network of paths the route around Lancaster.
Flat, fast, out & back and spectator friendly and is part of the Golden Ball 20.
The Golden Ball 10m is mainly made up of a network of paths with the majority traffic free. The road sections will be in very quiet areas which will be marshalled, signed and arrowed for the safety of the runners and marshals.
Please use for direction and not exact mile placings.

Where is the race start?
The race start is at 3-1-5 Health Club, Caton Road, LA1 3PE. Please note there is a 2.2m height barrier at the entrance of the centre car park. The club is not always able to open this and if you have a tall vehicle we request you let us know in advance.
Registration & number collection is in the race HQ in the 3-1-5 Health Club.
Where can I park?
Parking for competitors and supporters will be available at 3-1-5 Health Club. There are currently no parking fees in place but please make available a small fee in case there is a change before the day (these will not be enforced by Lancaster Race Series). After the race there may be queues at busy times, please be patient whilst we work to help everybody leave as quickly and safely as possible.
Where can I stay in Lancaster?
Lancaster has a number of hotels and B&B’s in the centre and outskirts of the city. Please contact us for more information with your requirements and we’ll do our best to match you to appropriate accommodation.
What is the race route?
The race takes in some scenic Lancaster Lune Valley countryside and route maps can be found on www.lancaster-race-series.co.uk
The course is very flat and mostly traffic free.
What are the rules for the event?
This race has been measured and certified permitted under UKA Rules.
How far apart are the drinks stations?
The drinks stations will be 2.5 to 3 miles apart.
What else will be available on the course?
A number of marshals and community groups will be on the course providing runners with jelly babies and Vaseline if required!
Will there be start zones?

There will be mile markers, every mile.
How old do I need to be to run?
To enter the Golden Ball 10m, you must be 17 or over on race day.
Where can I find my race info?
If you live in the UK and entered by post, this race info will be posted out to you explaining the details for race day. If you entered online your information will be sent to the email stated in the online application. Please check your spam as sometimes emails go into this folder instead of standard email inboxes.
Numbers are to be collected on the day of the race.
How do I get my number?
You can collect your number on the day at the race HQ.
I can't run - What is your refund policy? Can I transfer my number?
Unfortunately, there is a no refund policy and we are now unable to transfer numbers.
What if I am ill, injured or unfit before the race?
We recommend that you do not run if you feel ill, injured or have not trained for this event. If in doubt, consult your doctor.
Can I run in Fancy Dress?
Yes we welcome runners in fancy dress. Please take care with your choice of fancy dress as cycleways are NOT closed to the public.
Can I wear an iPod or music player?
It is not recommended. For your own safety you need to be aware of what is around you, and to be able to take instructions from marshals.
Is there a baggage store?
The health club has lockable lockers, however these require you providing your own padlock.
Where are the toilets?
There are toilets within the race HQ.
What food and drink will be available?
There will be food and drink available within the race HQ.
When will the results be available?
Results will be posted online soon after the race on www.lancaster-race-series.co.uk
Where is a good place to spectate?
The course has excellent spectator areas but please be aware that cycle paths are not closed to the public so please take care if out on the course. For more detailed information on the best places to spectate please use the contact us page on the race.
