Our 10km races aim to be a friendly series organised by runners who are dedicated to delivering a well-supported series of 10km's for every type of runner. This is flat, fast and has some excellent opportunities to stretch your legs!
To new runners, and those considering running with us for the first time, we promise a warm welcome and a race with fantastic support that is designed for all. This is a friendly race but also extremely fast!
Regardless if you are an elite runner with prize-winning ambitions, chasing a new personal best time, or just out to enjoy the views down the River Lune then this race is just right for you!

Where can I park?
Parking for competitors and supporters will be available at the Golden Ball Pilling but it is very limited.
.There is also off street parking in the area surrounding the Golden Ball but please take care to allow Pilling residents access to their homes and drives.
Where can I stay in Lancaster?
Lancaster has a number of hotels and B&B’s in the centre and outskirts of the city. Please contact us for more information with your requirements and we’ll do our best to match you to appropriate accommodation.
How do i collect my number?
Numbers for the Pilling 10km Race Series are to be collected on race day at the race HQ located in Golden Ball.
If you entered online you will receive race FAQ close to race day to confirm the information contained in the FAQ. Postal entries will receive this information through the post.
What is the race route?
The race takes in some scenic Lancaster Lune Valley countryside and route maps can be found on www.lancaster-race-series.co.uk
The course is flat, fast and arrowed.
What are the rules for the event?
This race has been measured and certified permitted under UKA Rules.
What else will be available on the course?
The course is very fast and runners are asked to keep left where possible. The route is marshalled and signposted. A lead bike & support bikes will be in place for this event.
Will there be start zones?
Will there be mile or km markers?
There will be mile markers, every mile.
How old do I need to be to run?
To enter one of the 10km races, you must be 15 or over on race day.
I can't run - What is your refund policy? Can I transfer my number?
Unfortunately, there is a no refund policy and we are now unable to transfer numbers.
What if I am ill, injured or unfit before the race?
We recommend that you do not run if you feel ill, injured or have not trained for this event. If in doubt, consult your doctor.
Can I run in Fancy Dress?
Yes we welcome runners in fancy dress. Please take care with your choice of fancy dress as roads are NOT closed to the public.
Can I wear an iPod or music player?
It is not recommended. For your own safety you need to be aware of what is around you, and to be able to take instructions from marshals.
Is there a baggage store?
No, please do not leave valuables unattended.
Where are the toilets?
There are ample toilets in the Golden Ball.
What food and drink will be available?
There will be food and drink available in the Golden Ball, please support this local business.
When will the results be available?
Results will be posted online soon after the race on www.lancaster-race-series.co.uk
