Do you accept entries on the day?

Yes, inside the race HQ.




Where can I park?

Parking for competitors and supporters will be available at the Golden Ball Pilling. There are currently no parking fees in place but please make available a small fee in case there is a change before the day (these will not be enforced by Lancaster Race Series). After the race there may be queues at busy times, please be patient whilst we work to help everybody leave as quickly and safely as possible. There are also streets surrounding the Golden Ball but please take care to allow Pilling Residents access to their homes and drives.


Where can I stay in Lancaster?

Lancaster has a number of hotels and B&B’s in the centre and outskirts of the city. Please contact us for more information with your requirements and we’ll do our best to match you to appropriate accommodation.


How do i collect my number?

Numbers for the Pilling 10km Race Series are to be collected on race day at the race HQ located in Golden Ball. If you entered online you will receive this race FAQ close to race day to confirm the information contained in the FAQ. Postal entries will receive this information through the post.  


What is the race route?
The race takes in some scenic Lancaster Lune Valley countryside and route maps can be found on www.lancaster-race-series.co.uk


The course is flat, fast and arrowed.


What are the rules for the event?

This race has been measured and certified permitted under UKA Rules.


What else will be available on the course?

The course is very fast and runners are asked to keep left where possible. The route is marshalled and signposted. A lead bike & support bikes will be in place for this event.


Will there be start zones?


Will there be mile or km markers?
There will be mile markers, every mile.


How old do I need to be to run?

To enter one of the 10km races, you must be 15 or over on race day.


I can't run - What is your refund policy? Can I transfer my number?

Unfortunately, there is a no refund policy and we are now unable to transfer numbers.

What if I am ill, injured or unfit before the race?
We recommend that you do not run if you feel ill, injured or have not trained for this event. If in doubt, consult your doctor.

Can I run in Fancy Dress?
Yes we welcome runners in fancy dress. Please take care with your choice of fancy dress as roads are NOT closed to the public.

Can I wear an iPod or music player?
It is not recommended. For your own safety you need to be aware of what is around you, and to be able to take instructions from marshals.


Is there a baggage store?

No, please do not leave valuables unattended.


Where are the toilets?
There are ample toilets in the Golden Ball.

What food and drink will be available?

There will be food and drink available in the Golden Ball, please support this local business.

When will the results be available?
Results will be posted online soon after the race on www.lancaster-race-series.co.uk
